Sew-On Patch — Raw Backing

The sew-on version has a raw fabric backing without heat-activated adhesive.

This option is best for:

Sew securely around the outside edge of the patch.

Iron-On Patch — Adhesive Backing

The iron-on version has heat-activated adhesive applied to the back before shipping.

Iron-on patches work best on heat-safe fabrics such as cotton, denim, canvas, and similar materials. Always confirm that your item can safely tolerate heat before installation.

For clothing, bags, or gear that will be washed frequently or receive heavy use, we recommend adding several stitches around the edge after ironing for additional security.
